Hooping

Much like dance, hooping increases coordination, grace in movement, core strength, tones the muscles and improves cardiovascular fitness.  It keeps you engaged and is a refreshing change from your old exercise routine. It is perfect for overall mind/body health. Most importantly, it is fun! Hoop dance combines sequential, complex tricks and smooth, flowing transitions while moving the body rhythmically to accentuate music. Hoop dance has been described as a mixture of circus arts, belly dance, modern dance, meditation, and yoga. No previous experience needed – everyone can do it!

Free hoops will be available for use for the first 2 classes and then I’ll measure and make custom hoops for each student. Normal exercise clothes are best – leggings and tighter fitting shirts are better because the hoop can get tied up in loose fitting clothing. We’ll be dancing on marley flooring so barefoot is an option, but a soft ballet shoe, jazz shoe, or soft dance running shoe would also work – socks are not recommended.

Intro to Musical Theater

Learn the fundamentals of proper singing, dancing, and acting in a supportive and energizing
environment. Explore the world of Musical Theater and the skills necessary to keep the techniques
healthy and fun at the same time.

Adult Musical Theater

Level up your Star-Power with this all-rounder Performance class. Ensure your repertoire is appropriate and solidify a healthy singing technique. Brush up on your Audition skills and improve your dancing and acting prowess. Work on your own song choice or receive a brand-new selection with maximum learning benefit in mind. Discuss important topics like vocal health and hygiene.

Adult Ballet (Wednesdays)

Adult Ballet will provide it’s students with an understanding of the basics of ballet technique and movement. In addition to increasing ballet vocabulary and ability we will also be emphasizing the pure enjoyment that comes from dance.

Adult Ballet (Saturdays)

This ballet class is open to all levels and experiences! Whether you want to get back into it or want to explore a new style of dance, ballet is the perfect starting point. Using classical ballet technique and class structure, including a warm up, barre, center, and across the floor, dancers will be encouraged to move based on their own ability and style.

Adult Ballet (Wednesdays)

A little bit of everything! The Fusion class will include a small amount of ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, musical theater, and creative movement all mixed together. The goal of this
class will be to try lots of new things and just enjoy dancing!

Hip Hop II

A continuation from Hip Hop I, we will work on creating and memorizing longer combinations, focusing on expression, style, musicality, and technique.

Hip Hop I

This class is a fun and easy going start to learning beginner hip hop. We will focus on warm ups, technique and fun dance combinations. Overall, the goals will be confidence building and smiles!

FUSION BALLET JR.

This class will be a fun mix of contemporary, ballet, musical theater, and jazz-not strictly a ballet class. We will begin with a  warm up contemporary/ballet move to across the floor, combinations and other dynamic activities. Additionally, we will learn a short piece of choreography over the course of the session.
